Mokum’s latest collection Dynasty is a modern infusion of East meets West, inspired by Asia and their rich and distinctive textiles, patterns and embellishments.
The Dynasty collection is comprised of luxurious velvet’s, textured plains, trims and a bold emblematic panel as well as the return of a well known Mokum design, Tulip Tetuoan, which has been rewoven from silk to a cotton/synthetic blend making it more suitable for New Zealand’s climate.
The plain upholstery textures Herringbone and Temple are the foundation of the collection. Herringbone is a tailored wool blend herringbone weave and Temple is a rhythmic, sculptural, chenille upholstery
The bold panel design was inspired by the Chinese symbol for Longevity and has been named just that. This symbol is about having good health and living a long life. The Chinese longevity symbol is the most revered among the five good fortune symbols. This sheer panel drapery is a real statement piece for both residential or commercial environments.
The Mokum studio strive to create patterns and textures that are enduring and will suit both modern and more classic interiors. Trend only plays a small part in Mokum collections as the intention is to create textiles which are multi-faceted and have longevity.
Complimenting this range is the co- ordinating trims Yin and Yang. These highly detailed trims add that sophisticated little extra detail to your curtains, blinds and cushions
